We are seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to originate and deliver new invoice finance and asset-based lending (ABL) opportunities across the SME and mid-market space.
This is a front-line, revenue-generating role focused on building a sustainable pipeline, structuring funding solutions, and driving new-to-bank business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate new invoice finance and ABL opportunities through a combination of introducers, internal referrals, and direct prospecting
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities
- Structure tailored working capital solutions aligned to client requirements
- Assess financial information including management accounts, debtor books, and funding needs
- Prepare and present high-quality credit proposals for approval
- Work closely with credit, risk, and operations teams to execute deals efficiently
- Develop and maintain relationships with key introducers (brokers, accountants, corporate finance advisers)
- Support the successful onboarding and handover of new clients
Skills & Experience
- Proven track record in invoice finance, ABL, or broader commercial lending
- Strong business development and origination capability
- Experience analysing financial statements and structuring lending solutions
- Established network of introducers is highly desirable
- Commercially driven with a results-oriented mindset
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
