Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes
- Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as grill, pastry, or sauté stations
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Assist in menu planning and development, suggesting new ideas for dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations at all times
- Monitor stock levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
- Train junior kitchen staff and ensure they adhere to hygiene standards
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Excellent skills in meal preparation and presentation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy setting
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience serving customers or working in a customer-facing role is advantageous
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential
