Get Laid Beds is a Leicester-based manufacturer and retailer of solid wood beds and furniture. We ship directly to homes and businesses across the UK, Europe and beyond, and we're proud of the quality of both our products and the service we wrap around them.
We're now creating a brand-new role: a junior business to business (B2B) sales position, incubated within our Customer Service team. This is a genuine ground-floor opportunity to help shape how we grow our trade and business customer base, with full support from experienced colleagues along the way.
The role
You'll be trained across the full Customer Service remit, but your day-to-day focus will be outbound sales to businesses - proactively reaching out to trade and B2B prospects by phone and email, building relationships, and carrying deals through from first contact to completion.
Alongside this, you'll be part of the wider Customer Service team: answering the phones, handling general enquiries, and learning our delivery planning and resolution processes for B2B customers. You'll never be left to sink or swim - senior team members will support you on negotiations and complex deals as you build your confidence.
What you'll be doing
- Making outbound calls and sending outreach emails to business and trade prospects
- Working to targeted outreach goals (calls, emails, opportunities created)
- Managing deals end to end: quoting, negotiating, invoicing and closing deals
- Handling delivery planning and resolutions for B2B customers
- Answering inbound calls and supporting general customer service enquiries
- Building lasting relationships with trade and business accounts
- Working closely with senior colleagues who'll guide you on pricing, negotiation and deal completion
- You'll be on-site in this role, enabling our full support for you to develop and reach your goals.
What we're looking for
- A confident, personable communicator who enjoys talking to people on the phone
- Comfortable with (or excited to learn) outbound, target-driven sales
- Well-organised, with an eye for detail across quotes, invoices and deliveries
- Resilient and self-motivated — you don't shy away from a target
- A team player who's happy mucking in on general customer service when needed
- Previous sales, telesales, account management or customer service experience is welcome, but attitude and drive matter most
