Trade Recruit is representing a well-established and ambitious plumbing and heating contractor based in Ruislip. Due to consistent growth and a strong pipeline of work, our client is seeking an experienced Gas Engineer to join their expanding team.
This is a varied domestic role working primarily in private residential properties rather than major construction sites. The work includes boiler installations, servicing, breakdowns, heating system upgrades, fault finding and general plumbing.

As a Gas Engineer, you will:
- Carry out domestic boiler installations, servicing and breakdown repairs
- Complete gas safety inspections and certification in line with current regulations
- Install and maintain central heating systems, including radiators, valves, pipework and smart controls
- Diagnose and repair boiler and heating system faults efficiently
- Carry out general plumbing works when required, including pipework, cylinders, repairs and bathroom-related plumbing
- Manage daily jobs independently while maintaining excellent standards of workmanship
- Communicate professionally with customers and provide clear advice where required
- Ensure all work complies with Gas Safe regulations and health & safety standards
- Maintain accurate records, certificates and job reports
- Always represent the company professionally
Requirements
The successful Gas Engineer must have:
- Gas Safe Registration – CCN1 and CENWAT essential
- Minimum 3+ years' domestic gas experience
- Strong boiler servicing, installation and fault-finding experience
- Good knowledge of domestic plumbing and heating systems
- NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent trade qualification
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional, reliable and punctual approach
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
