Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
- Support medication administration processes, ensuring correct dosages and patient instructions are provided
- Maintain meticulous records of dispensed medications and inventory levels
- Provide compassionate patient care by answering queries related to medication usage and health advice within scope of practice
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including proper storage of medicines and cleanliness of the dispensary
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes and medication management
Experience
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar healthcare role is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems is advantageous
- Experience supporting patient care activities, demonstrating excellent communication skills and empathy
- Familiarity with pharmacy regulations, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements is desirable
