About the role
This role is for someone ready to step into financial advising, or who has only recently made that move.
You’ve got your Level 4, you’ve spent some time in financial services, and you know this is the direction you want to go in.
You won’t be left completely on your own, but you will be expected to step up quickly, take responsibility and grow into the role. That balance is important to us.
You’ll be working closely with a small, experienced team, building your confidence while taking on more responsibility as you develop.
We advise across mortgages, protection, pensions and investments, so you’ll get proper exposure rather than being boxed into one area.
This is a great opportunity to properly develop as an adviser, not just get the title.
What you’ll be doing
- Sitting in on client meetings, then progressing to leading your own
- Carrying out fact-finds and understanding each client’s situation and goals
- Building relationships with clients and supporting them over the long term
- Preparing and presenting recommendations across pensions, investments and protection
- Working closely with our admin and paraplanning team to deliver a smooth experience
- Keeping everything accurate, compliant and well documented
- Staying up to date with products, regulation and market changes
What we’re looking for
Attitude matters more than anything else here.
You’ll likely be someone who:
- Has Level 4 Diploma (or very close to completion)
- Has some experience in financial services (admin, paraplanning, trainee adviser etc.)
- Has a solid understanding of core financial products such as pensions, investments and protection
- Can explain financial concepts clearly without overcomplicating things
- Is organised, with strong attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of compliance
- Is comfortable using systems and tools to manage client information and workflows
- Can build rapport quickly and develop long-term relationships based on trust
- Is committed to developing themselves professionally and improving over time
- Takes pride in doing things properly
- Is reliable and organised
- Wants to build a long-term career as an adviser, not just try it out
What you’ll get
- A supported transition into an advisory role
- Ongoing admin and paraplanning support as you build
- A clear progression route as you develop
- A small, close team where standards are high, but people support each other
- A mixture of existing clients and new leads to the business
- A strong platform to build real experience early in your career
A bit about us
We’re a growing financial advice firm, but we’ve kept that close team feel.
Clients come first, standards matter, and we’re quite selective about who we bring into the team.
This isn’t the place for big egos or people chasing quick wins.
But if you want to get really good at what you do and build something long-term, you’ll fit in well here.
Before you apply
Quick sense check:
- Do you actually want to become a great adviser, not just have the title?
- Are you open to being coached and challenged?
- Do you care about doing things properly, even when no one’s watching?
If yes, we’d like to hear from you!
