Ramside Hall Hotel are recruiting for an experienced Hotel Concierge/ General Assistant to come and join our team.
Just a 5-minute drive from the historic city of Durham, Ramside Hall Hotel offers 127 luxurious bedrooms and suites, as well as our exclusive Treehouses, each offering its own unique charm with stunning views across 350 acres of beautiful private grounds.
It’s Durham's only silver awarded AA rated and 4 star hotel and features two 18 hole Championship golf courses; a brand new sports entertainment complex, a luxury on-site spa complex, four bars and award-winning restaurants.
As part of our concierge team you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests receive the highest level of customer service, so they come back time and time again.
You are one of the first impressions a guest will have upon arrival at the hotel so providing a warm, friendly, helpful welcome is vital. As part of your role you will be responsible for assisting our guests with their luggage and showing them to their rooms, responding effectively to any queries or requests, making travel and restaurant reservations.
In addition to this you will be required to perform the duties of General Assistant which includes providing room service and supporting different departments with a variety of different tasks including housekeeping, laundry and general maintenance. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with previous experience of working as a concierge within a luxury hotel. You will need excellent time management, interpersonal and communication skills.
But most importantly, you will have a passion for customer service, and enjoy providing a memorable service.
Please note that due to the nature of this role you will need to hold a valid driving licence and due to insurance purposes you must be over the age of 21.
Full time or part time positions will be considered, the role will involve working evenings and weekends.
