Duties
- Offer personalised support to adults, encouraging their emotional well-being and social skills
- Develop and implement engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and personal growth
- Mentor and guide young individuals, fostering confidence and resilience through positive reinforcement
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, outings, educational activities, and personal care when needed
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and other professionals to ensure consistent support tailored to each individual’s needs
- Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents, and activities to support ongoing development plans
- Promote a safe environment by monitoring behavior and intervening appropriately in challenging situations
Experience
- Previous experience working with adults, care, or community settings is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and motivate others in a supportive manner
- Knowledge of teaching techniques that engage children and promote learning outcomes
- Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with young individuals and team members
- Ability to adapt approaches based on individual needs and circumstances
- Experience in creating a positive environment that encourages growth, independence, and confidence
