Team Leader – Surbiton (Full-Time)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Team Leader to join our CQC Registered Service in Surbiton.
Our homes provide accommodation for adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. They are wonderfully vibrant and welcoming homes where close relationships have been built with the people we support. The homes are spacious, with lovely enclosed gardens that everyone enjoys, creating a friendly and homely environment.
As we continue to grow and develop our services, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated Team Leader who wants to progress their career in care leadership.

As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in leading and supporting a team of Support Workers while ensuring the people we support receive safe, person-centred care that promotes independence, choice and dignity.
Your Role & Purpose
As a Team Leader, you will lead by example, promoting a positive, person-centred culture where both staff and the people we support feel valued and respected.
You will:
- Supervise, mentor and support the development of your team.
- Ensure the safety, wellbeing and independence of the people we support.
- Oversee daily operations, rota planning and effective handovers.
- Support people with personal care, medication, daily living skills and maintaining their independence.
- Encourage participation in activities, community engagement and developing life skills.
- Maintain high standards of care planning, documentation and compliance with CQC regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of Support Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
- Allocate duties and support effective rota planning.
- Provide guidance, supervision and encouragement to create a positive team culture.
- Support individuals with personal care, medication administration and all aspects of daily living while promoting dignity, choice and independence.
- Encourage hobbies, activities and community involvement.
- Work alongside families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
- Respond confidently to incidents and support positive outcomes.
- Complete and review risk assessments, care plans and daily records.
- Ensure the service remains compliant with CQC standards and company policies.
- Lead by example and support the delivery of outstanding care.
What You'll Bring
- Previous experience within health and social care.
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and/or mental health needs.
- Previous experience leading, supervising or mentoring a team.
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (desirable).
- A valid UK driving licence.
- A calm, compassionate and solution-focused approach.
- Strong communication, organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and waking nights where required.
