We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries. Duties
- Safely operate delivery vans to transport goods to clients and distribution centres.
- Plan and follow optimal delivery routes to ensure punctuality.
- Load and unload items, including heavy lifting when necessary, adhering to safety protocols.
- Verify delivery orders and obtain signatures upon receipt.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle logs.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues.
- Ensure the security of goods during transit and adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
- Valid driver licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience with commercial driving vehicles, including vans or lorries.
- Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations within the area of operation.
- Warehouse experience is advantageous, especially in handling heavy lifting tasks.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to organise routes efficiently and manage time effectively under tight schedules.
- Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and long periods of driving or standing.

Pay: £12.21-£22.10 per hour
