We are a modern, progressive family run Dairy farm positioned on the Dorset/Somerset/Devon border looking for a Tractor Driver/GFW to join our team with experience in a variety of operations alongside sound mechanical/workshop expertise.
The Role
The role is a key position within the farm system predominately tractor driving with duties to include:
TMR mixer wagon relief
Ploughing and associated fieldwork
Hedge Trimming
Grass/Maize silaging
Slurry spreading via tanker/umbilical system
Machinery maintenance
Alongside general farm work to include:
Youngstock feeding/bedding
Fencing/farm maintenance
The Person
The ideal candidate should be reliable, enthusiastic with a can do attitude, possess good communication skills and the ability to work alone or as part of a team. Capable of working to the highest standards and taking responsibility and pride in doing jobs properly.
As we undertake the majority of farm operations in house, the need for flexibility and willingness to be involved during seasonal busy times are essential.
Proof of formal training such as Material Handler Certificate, Spraying etc. would be an advantage but training can be arranged if appropriate.
