Position Overview:
As the Deputy Home Care Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Registered Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care services to our clients. You will assist in managing a team of caregivers, coordinating client care plans, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Home Care Manager in supervising and supporting a team of caregivers, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Collaborate with the Registered Manager to develop and implement care plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing home care services.
- Conduct regular assessments of clients' needs and monitor the quality of care provided.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to ensure continuity of care.
- Oversee scheduling and assignment of care workers to clients, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient utilization of resources.
- Act as a liaison between clients, care staff, and management, addressing concerns and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records, including client files, caregiver documentation, and billing information.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay abreast of best practices in home care management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the healthcare or home care industry.
- Strong understanding of home care regulations, including CQC guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, care workers, and colleagues.
- Exceptional organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and electronic record systems.
