Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Your expertise will ensure that roofs are durable, weather-resistant, and built to the highest standards of safety and quality. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret roofing schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation and repairs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to cut, shape, and install roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, membranes, or tiles.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when handling roofing materials and equipment.
- Apply roofing techniques including flashing installation, sealing joints, and waterproofing to prevent leaks.
- Conduct inspections of existing roofs to identify damage or deterioration requiring repair or replacement.
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other tradespeople to coordinate construction activities on-site.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on roofing projects preferred.
- Familiarity with reading schematics and technical drawings related to roofing systems.
- Hands-on experience with welding, fabrication, carpentry, masonry or plumbing is highly desirable.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, chisels, screwdrivers as well as power tools including drills, saws, and nail guns.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during material handling.
- Knowledge of roofing materials including shingles, metal panels or membranes is a plus.
- Prior experience working in construction environments that require adherence to safety standards is essential.
