Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care and Support Workers to provide high-quality assistance to individuals in the comfort of their own home. The role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being, and promoting independence. Experience in senior care, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, or related fields is highly desirable. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support with medication administration following prescribed protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and physical well-being
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Assist with mobility and transfer using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Manage behaviour effectively, especially in clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
- Support clients with household tasks such as light cleaning and laundry
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required
Skills
- Experience in dumb celery Care is advantageous but full training will be given
- Knowledge of patient care procedures including medication administration and first aid
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to supporting vulnerable individuals
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when assisting with mobility or transfers
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and their families effectively
- Organisation skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Driving licence is essential
