Suburb is thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of its first bar & restaurant in Meadowhall, Sheffield, and we’re looking for motivated and skilled individuals to join our front-of-house team.
Full Time and Part Time roles available from 16 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting and seating guests professionally and courteously
- Assisting with food and beverage orders
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the bar & restaurant (including the facilities)
- Handling customer inquiries and resolving any concerns in a positive manner
- Work closely with the kitchen and management team to ensure smooth service
- Comply with health & safety and licensing regulations at all times
General:
- Professionally presented at all times in disposition and in appearance and approach
- Have a flexible approach to working hours and duties including weekend and bank holidays
- Act as an ambassador for the company and present a professional image at all times
- Treat customers and colleagues fairly and with respect, value the diversity of others and work proactively to overcome communication barriers
- Adhere to safe working practices and to the health and safety policy and procedures and food safety
- Promote, communicate and support the company’s vision and values to all
- Follow the company’s policies including but not limited to race, disability and other protected characteristics and to ensure an equal opportunity for all staff and ensure they and each of them provide a consistent and excellent service
- You may also be requested to carry out other non-specific duties reasonably required for the success of the business as a whole
Required Experience and Skills:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for food and providing exceptional service
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality industry
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively deal with a wide range of customer
- A positive attitude and a team player

Salary:
£8.00 - £12.71 per hour depending on age
