Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner/Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role involves delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring timely and accurate food delivery, and supporting the overall dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for hospitality. Previous experience in food service, restaurant operations, or related fields is advantageous. Duties
- Deliver prepared dishes promptly from the kitchen to guests’ tables, ensuring presentation standards are maintained.
- Assist servers with food and beverage service as needed, supporting smooth restaurant operations.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to during delivery and handling.
- Replenish supplies such as cutlery, condiments, and napkins to maintain a fully stocked service station.
- Support in setting up dining areas before service and clearing tables after guests leave.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding special requests or dietary requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in line with health and safety regulations.
- Provide friendly guest services by answering questions about menu items or restaurant offerings courteously.
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or related roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation, meal presentation, and food safety standards.
- Experience as a delivery driver or in food delivery services is advantageous.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, cooking processes, or culinary environments enhances performance.
- Excellent communication skills with good phone etiquette for guest interactions.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Guest-focused attitude with a professional appearance and demeanour.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and support colleagues as needed.
