As an onsite Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of Move Management, from programme development and inception to on-site delivery and completion in the Scotland area. Reporting to the Divisional Director, you will ensure successful project outcomes through effective team management, resource allocation, and adherence to internal processes, while safeguarding project margins.
You will coordinate with operational teams to assign resources based on skill sets, manage on-site teams to ensure seamless delivery, and maintain exceptional customer service standards throughout the project. As the primary point of contact for the client, you will address issues promptly and ensure the move process is tailored to meet client needs efficiently.
Roles and Responsibilities
Client Coordination: Act as the single point of contact for the client, ensuring all responsibilities and expectations for relocation activities are clearly defined and communicated.

Team Management: Work with operations teams to resource projects effectively, allocating personnel with the appropriate certifications, skills, and training for on-site delivery.

On-Site Oversight: Manage and supervise on-site teams to ensure efficient execution of the move plan, addressing any on-the-ground challenges in real time.

Move Planning: Collaborate with project teams to develop comprehensive move plans, including the provision, relocation, audit, and collection of necessary equipment.

Operational Support: Assist in identifying and planning the best routes, entrances, exits, and service yards to be used during the move, with attention to security, workflow, and site-specific restrictions.

Resource Allocation: Ensure equipment, personnel, and other resources are allocated effectively, responding to ad hoc requests and unexpected challenges as needed.

Compliance and Risk Management: Implement change control and risk management procedures, ensuring all relocations align with internal processes, corporate guidelines, and industry standards.

Programme Management: Deliver move programmes and phased plans in accordance with agreed methodologies, maintaining timelines and budgets.

Documentation and Communication: Verify origin and destination space plans, ensure consistent communication with all stakeholders, and maintain accurate records throughout the relocation process.

Cost and Margin Protection: Ensure relocation costs and change requests are managed effectively, protecting project margins.

Post-Move Actions: Oversee the accurate completion of all documentation, ensure client sign-off, gather feedback, and process invoices promptly upon project completion.

Business Development: Identify potential future move opportunities during projects and contribute to the development of long-term client relationships.
Additional Responsibilities

Attend scheduled move meetings to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.

React swiftly to last-minute client or operational requests, maintaining a solution-focused approach.

Ensure parking and logistical arrangements, including any necessary dispensations, are in place.

Monitor and report on project performance, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.

Develop and update operational systems to ensure accurate data entry and project tracking.
This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to excellence in execution. Your ability to work collaboratively with both clients and operational teams will be key to the success of each project. The role will involve travel nationwide and may involve overnight stays in lodgings.
