Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced waiting staff member to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in restaurant service, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role involves providing attentive service, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Candidates should be organised, personable, and capable of managing multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate orders and relay them promptly to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Provide excellent guest services by attending to customer needs and resolving any issues promptly.
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximise sales opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and proper handling procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required, supporting the kitchen team as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organised dining area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Manage multiple tables simultaneously, demonstrating effective time management skills.
- Handle payments accurately using the POS system and process transactions efficiently.
Experience
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques is highly desirable.
- Previous experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Familiarity with upselling strategies and guest engagement techniques will be beneficial.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour are required to ensure positive guest interactions.
