OVERVIEW
This is a senior leadership role at our Kings Hill site. As Head Coach, you'll be responsible for everything that happens on the gym floor and beyond. From the quality of coaching delivered to the condition of the facility, the performance of your team, and the overall experience of every member who walks through the door.
You'll lead by example as a coach, set the standard for the team, and take ownership of the site's day-to-day performance. This role suits someone who is equally comfortable running a great session and having a difficult conversation, someone who cares deeply about people and takes pride in running a tight, high-performing operation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coaching
Deliver high-quality group coaching sessions in a safe, motivating environment, building strong member relationships and leading by example on the gym floor.
Team Performance
Line manage and develop the coaching team — one-to-ones, performance reviews, CPD planning, team meetings, and consistent onboarding of new coaches.
Gym Performance
Own the site's overall performance and culture, tracking attendance, conversion, and retention while working with sales to grow membership and optimise the member journey.
Facilities Management
Keep the gym clean, safe, and well-maintained, managing equipment checks, contractors, stock, and health & safety compliance.
PREFERRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Level 3 PT qualification (minimum) with proven experience coaching group sessions across mixed abilities. You've led or managed a team before, communicate confidently, and stay organised under competing priorities. You hold a high personal standard for the sessions and environment you run — experience in functional strength & conditioning is a bonus.
