We’re looking for friendly, reliable, customer‑focused Bar Staff to help us build a warm, welcoming village pub where great service and great beer come first.

Your Role
As a member of our bar team, you’ll be the face of The Ship. Your responsibilities will include:
- Serving Drinks: Pouring pints, preparing simple drinks, and ensuring every customer receives great service.
- Customer Service: Greeting guests, taking orders, and creating a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
- Bar Standards: Keeping the bar clean, tidy, and well-presented throughout your shift.
- Teamwork: Supporting colleagues during busy periods and helping maintain smooth service.
- Responsible Service: Following age verification rules and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- General Duties: Glass collecting, restocking, wiping down tables, and helping keep the pub looking its best.
What We’re Looking For
- Friendly & Approachable: You enjoy talking to people and making them feel welcome.
- Reliable: Turning up on time and ready to work is essential.
- Hardworking: You’re happy to get stuck in, whether it’s serving drinks or helping clean down.
- Team Player: You work well with others and stay calm under pressure.
- Experience: Bar experience is helpful but not essential - we can train the right person.
