We are seeking enthusiastic and personable Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively bar environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for serving drinks, maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere, and supporting the smooth operation of the bar. Previous hospitality experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry.
Duties
- Serve a variety of beverages to customers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Take orders accurately and process payments using the bar’s point-of-sale system
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glasses and organising stock
- Ensure compliance with food safety and licensing regulations at all times
- Assist in restocking supplies and managing inventory levels
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming environment and promote specials or events
- Handle cash and card transactions with accuracy using basic maths skills
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
Skills
- Strong hospitality skills with a focus on delivering excellent customer service
- Knowledge of food safety standards and licensing regulations within the hospitality sector
- Experience in serving drinks in a restaurant or bar setting is desirable but not essential
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and friendliness
- Excellent communication skills and a personable demeanour
- Previous restaurant or bar experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
