Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Labourer to work in our recycling yard.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various tasks on-site, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Separating different wastes into skips
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment
- Carry out general site maintenance and cleaning duties
- Follow instructions from supervisors
- Operate basic tools safely
- Maintain a tidy work area to ensure safety standards are met
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations on-site
- Report any issues or hazards to the supervisor promptly
Requirements
- Previous experience in a labouring role is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Basic knowledge of health and safety practices on construction sites is preferred
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed
