This role of Support Worker will form part of our established Supported Living Transition services, which supports young adults with a learning disability and/or autism who are moving from the family home into their own accommodation. The service focuses on enabling individuals to develop the skills, confidence and resilience required to live as independently as possible.
Key responsibilities
Support Workers provide person-centred support across all aspects of daily living.
This includes:
- Support individuals to develop practical life skills such as meal planning, shopping and cooking
- Supporting individuals to understand finances and budgeting
- The role also involves providing support and guidance to help individuals navigate the challenges and transitions associated with increased independence
