I run a specialist recruitment business in ground engineering - the people who make sure buildings don’t fall down. I work with clients across the UK, US and Australia and Canada, and right now it’s a lean setup.
That’s exactly why this role exists. I need someone who can take real ownership of the operational side of the business, so I can focus on the clients and deals that actually grow it. This is as much about supporting me - directly, personally, day to day - as it is about supporting the business itself. And I’ll set the bar high: I’m not after “good enough.” I want someone who anticipates what I need before I ask, and takes real pride in doing things properly.
This isn’t a “keep the diary tidy” job.
It’s admin - invoicing, contracts, CRM, sourcing plan support - but it’s also chasing things down before they’re forgotten, organising event attendance, keeping things moving, and fixing processes that don’t work yet. If you see something that needs doing, I want you to do it, not wait to be asked.
Here’s what you need to know:
- £30,000–£35,000
- Monday–Thursday, 2:00pm–10:30pm. Friday, 11:00am–5:00pm. In person, Kettering.
- Unusual hours, on purpose - they’re built to overlap with US business hours, because that’s where a lot of the growth is.
- Fixed hours means fixed hours. No late-night emails, no weekend pings.
Who fits:
Someone with real office management or PA/EA experience who’s ready to own things, not just execute a task list. Recruitment background helps but isn’t required. What matters more: you hold yourself to a high standard, you’re sharp and reliable, and you genuinely want to build something excellent.
