Training and Recruitment Officer
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 09:00 - 17.00
We are seeking a proactive and organised Recruitment and Training Officer to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for coordinating recruitment activities, supporting hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, and ensuring employees receive effective induction, training, and development opportunities.
The successful candidate will play a key role in attracting talented individuals, maintaining compliance with recruitment procedures, and supporting the ongoing development of our workforce.
Recruitment – Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes
- Draft and post job advertisements across appropriate platforms
- Screen applications and arrange interviews
- Conduct pre-employment checks, including references and right-to-work verification
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and reports
- Support onboarding and induction processes for new employees
Training & Development – Key Responsibilities
- Deliver job-specific safeguarding, First Aid, SEND awareness, health and safety, and company procedures.
- Develop and maintain training materials, presentations, guides, and learning resources
- Provide refresher training on safeguarding, First Aid, SEND awareness, health and safety, and company procedures.
- Organise and facilitate classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training sessions
- Monitor employee progress and evaluate training effectiveness
- Support employees in achieving required competencies and qualifications
- Update training materials to reflect legislative, policy, and operational changes
- Assist with audits and inspections by providing training evidence and records
Essential Qualifications
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent training qualification.
- Level 2 Certification in Safeguarding
- First Aid Qualification
Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience in recruitment, training administration, HR, or a similar role
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
- Knowledge of recruitment best practices and training coordination
- Experience delivering training within transport, education, care, or public service sectors
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding principles
- Ability to engage and support adult learners
- Knowledge of SEND and school transport operations

Pay: £30,000.00 per year
