Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering both concrete and skips within a 20 mile radius of Nantwich. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively. Duties
- Operate a concrete lorry to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Operate a skip lorry to designated locations in a timely manner
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, including flatbed deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Manage routes efficiently to optimise delivery times and fuel consumption.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
