Registered Manager – Domiciliary Care
Location: Gateshead
Salary: £50,000 DOE + annual bonus of up to 5%
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday with flexibility required
About the Role
Kelsey @ Amber Mace is looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to oversee and develop their growing domiciliary care service in the Gateshead area.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader to manage a high-quality, CQC-compliant service delivering over 1000 hours of care and support per week to elderly individuals living within their own homes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring exceptional standards of care, strong team leadership, business growth, and operational compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily running of the domiciliary care service
- Manage and support the Care Coordination Team and Care Staff
- Ensure the service remains fully compliant with CQC regulations and company policies
- Lead on recruitment, interviews, onboarding, training and staff development
- Manage staff rotas effectively to ensure quality and continuity of care
- Maintain service budgets and support the financial performance of the branch
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, professionals and stakeholders
- Ensure care is delivered in a way that promotes dignity, independence and person-centred support
- Drive service growth across Gateshead and into the Durham area
- Monitor quality assurance, audits, supervisions and service improvements
- Promote a positive, supportive and high-performing team culture
Requirements
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar Registered Manager position
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and domiciliary care standards
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Experience managing rotas, staffing and operational performance
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Passionate about delivering outstanding person-centred care
- Full UK driving licence preferred due to service coverage area
