Part-Time / Freelance Field Service Engineer – Arcade & Fruit Machines (Northern UK)
Salary: Approx. £20,000 per year initially, with the opportunity to progress into a full-time role as the business expands.
We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer with a background in arcade machines, fruit machines, gaming machines, or amusement equipment to support our growing operation across the North of the UK.
This role is ideal for someone seeking part-time, freelance, subcontract, evening, or weekend work, including engineers who may already be employed within the industry and are looking to take on additional private work. There is flexibility around working hours and workload, with the potential for the position to become full-time as our machine estate continues to grow.
Applicants must have previous field engineer experience and be confident working independently on customer sites.
Initially, applicants will need their own transport, although a company vehicle may be provided as the role develops.
Key Responsibilities
- Servicing and maintaining arcade machines, fruit machines, and amusement equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and software faults
- Installing and commissioning machines at customer venues
- Carrying out preventative maintenance visits
- Responding to breakdown call-outs when required
- Supporting new machine and venue installations
- Maintaining service records and reporting completed works
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer is essential
- Previous experience working on arcade machines, fruit machines, gaming machines, amusement equipment, vending machines, gaming terminals, or similar coin-operated equipment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Good mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Full UK driving licence
- Own vehicle initially
- Willingness to travel throughout the North of the UK
- Professional and reliable approach
