Heath House Day Nursery is part of a family owned chain of Day Nurseries in the Hampshire area. Open since 2009, we have a reputation for providing high quality childcare within a premium environment.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our team as a part time Kitchen Assistant. With hours of 2pm-5.30pm Monday-Friday (51 weeks of the year), your role requires taking over from the Nursery Cook at the end of her shift to prepare and serve a hot tea for up to 150 children at 4pm each day. You will then be required to do kitchen clean down and close ready for the next day.
The ideal candidate will also be able to cover fully for the Nursery Cook during periods of Annual Leave, hence providing a nice opportunity to boost your earnings throughout the year and become a firm part of our nursery team.
We take pride in providing freshly cooked meals and accommodating to a variety of allergies, intolerances and cultural preferences. Our 4 week rolling menu provides a two-course lunch, hot tea with tasty side dish as well as 2 snacks throughout the day.
The successful candidate will ideally have a valid Food Hygiene Certificate, and Allergen Awareness training. Training can however be provided. You will also be experienced in cooking for large numbers and of the dietary needs of young children.
