About the Role:
Yellowstone Healthcare Ltd is looking for an experienced and passionate Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Specialist to join our growing multidisciplinary team.
This is a hybrid position supporting young people and adults with complex needs across our supported accommodation and supported living services in London, Kent and Essex.
You will play a key role in improving the quality of life of the individuals we support by developing person-centred Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans, coaching staff teams, and working collaboratively with operational managers and external professionals.
The successful candidate will provide specialist behavioural support across our placements while promoting safe, therapeutic and least restrictive practice.
Key Responsibilities:
As our PBS Specialist, you will:
- Complete Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) assessments.
- Undertake Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA).
- Develop and review Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
- Analyse behaviours of concern and identify triggers and functions.
- Produce behaviour analysis reports and recommendations.
- Develop proactive and reactive behaviour strategies.
- Support individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs and complex behaviours.
- Provide behavioural consultation to Registered Managers and support teams.
- Deliver staff coaching and training in Positive Behaviour Support.
- Attend multidisciplinary meetings where required.
- Review incidents and identify behavioural trends.
- Support placement matching and compatibility assessments.
- Assist with hospital discharges and complex transitions.
- Promote trauma-informed and least restrictive approaches.
- Support compliance with CQC, Ofsted and commissioning requirements.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement.

Essential Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- BSc in Psychology or a related qualification (e.g. Learning Disability Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Behaviour Analysis or another relevant health or social care discipline).
- Additional training or experience in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
- Knowledge of Functional Behaviour Assessment (FBA).
- Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support frameworks and person-centred practice.
Essential Experience
You should have:
- Experience working with young people and/or adults with complex needs.
- Experience supporting individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Mental Health needs.
- Experience developing and implementing PBS plans.
- Experience delivering behavioural interventions and staff coaching.
- Excellent report-writing and assessment skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Start Date
The successful candidate will be expected to commence employment on Tuesday, 1 September 2026.

- Rate: £250 per week (Retainer)
The weekly retainer covers routine PBS support, including scheduled placement visits, behavioural assessments, PBS plan development and reviews, staff coaching, incident analysis, multidisciplinary liaison and remote consultation for residents across Yellowstone Healthcare Ltd placements.
