Dorvic Caravans is looking for a reliable and hardworking Caravan Valeter & Workshop Assistant to join our team in Ballyclare.
The role will involve preparing caravans to a high standard for customer collections, maintaining the appearance of our display stock, assisting our workshop team and helping with the general upkeep of the yard.
We are flexible regarding working hours and would consider applicants looking for either a part-time or full-time position. The role can range from 14 to 35 hours per week, depending on the successful applicant and the needs of the business.
Main Duties
- Cleaning caravan exteriors, including roofs, windows, wheels and bodywork
- Cleaning caravan interiors to a high standard
- Preparing sold caravans for customer collections and handovers
- Ensuring caravans are clean, presentable and ready at the agreed collection time
- Regularly washing and maintaining display stock
- Working alongside the workshop team to assist with basic PDI preparation checks
- Carrying out straightforward PDI tasks such as greasing corner steadies, checking windows, doors, blinds and other fittings
- Reporting any damage, faults or issues found while cleaning or preparing caravans
- Keeping the yard clean, tidy and well organised
- Carrying out general yard duties as required
- Working with the sales and workshop teams to ensure caravans are prepared on schedule
The Ideal Candidate
- Takes pride in producing a high standard of work
- Has good attention to detail
- Is reliable, punctual and able to manage their workload
- Is comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
- Is physically capable of carrying out cleaning and general yard duties
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Has previous valeting experience, although training can be provided
- A full driving licence would be beneficial
