Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment
- Ensure children are supported to achieve their learning and development goals
- Plan enriching activities inline with the EYFS
- Meet children's individual needs
- Work in collaboration with Nursery Manager and colleague to deliver high quality care and education
- Adhere to safeguarding processes at all time
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience working with young children in an early years setting
- Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education
- Familiarity with EYFS and standards for early years education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children
Qualifications
- Completion of a full and relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification
- Completion of Safeguarding Awareness course (desirable)
- Paediatric First Aid certificate (within date if qualified post 30th June 2016)
Interview Process steps:
- 1st stage: Face to face Interview
- 2nd stage: Work Trial
The position is full time working between 36-40 hours per week, Monday – Friday between 7.30am-6.00pm.
We are committed to safeguarding, protecting children, young people and adults. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS and 2 satisfactory references. Due to the nature of the work, we will require an additional criminal records check for anyone who has lived or worked abroad.
