We are seeking a detail-oriented Part Time Bookkeeper to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting software programmes, including Xero, and possess a strong understanding of financial record-keeping. This position is perfect for someone looking to utilise their bookkeeping skills on a part-time basis while supporting the financial operations of our private, arts based, Club.
Duties
- Maintain accurate financial records using Xero
- Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
- Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly to ensure data integrity
- Payroll processing and related documentation
- Prepare financial reports and summaries as required by management and Club Council
- Support year-end audit preparations by organising relevant documentation
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations
- Perform data entry and maintain organised filing systems for all financial documents
Skills
- Proven experience with accounting software
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent numerical proficiency and accuracy in data entry
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a part-time capacity
