Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Day Driver to join our team.
Duties
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 lorries, p, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-journey safety checks on the vehicle to ensure it is fit for purpose
- Plan and follow designated delivery routes, ensuring timely deliveries to clients and customers
- Complete all required documentation accurately, including delivery notes and vehicle logs
- Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour when interacting with clients and colleagues
- Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to management
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with Curtainside vehicles or similar heavy goods vehicles (HGV)
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving licence for HGV Class 1 (C+E)
- Knowledge of road regulations and safety procedures relevant to large vehicle operation
- Excellent organisational skills to plan routes effectively and manage delivery schedules
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism
Pay: From £15.00 per hour
