We are seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the school premises are safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained at all times.
This position coincides with the cleaning role currently being advertised; the roles will be offered under two separate contracts, totalling 22.5 hours per week. You will need to apply for both vacancies.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening and closing the school site, including securing buildings and grounds
- Carrying out routine maintenance, minor repairs, and basic DIY tasks
- Monitoring and maintaining cleanliness of the premises
- Ensuring health and safety standards are consistently met
- Managing heating, lighting, and general facilities systems
- Conducting regular safety checks and reporting any issues
- Assisting with room setups for events and activities
- Liaising with contractors and external service providers when required
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Will possess good practical skills and a basic knowledge of repairs and maintenance, along with a stong understanding of health and safety practices. They will be able to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating good communication and organisational skills.
