At Bradfords Building Supplies, we've been supporting tradespeople, contractors and homeowners for over 250 years. As one of the South West's leading independent builders' merchants, we're proud of our reputation for exceptional customer service, expert advice and strong local relationships.
Our success is built on our people, and we're passionate about creating a workplace where colleagues can develop, thrive and build rewarding careers.
We're now looking for a customer-focused Van Driver / Relief LGV Driver to join our branch team in Seaton.
As a Van Driver / Relief LGV Driver, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive the products they need, when they need them. You'll be responsible for delivering materials safely, efficiently and on time, while providing the high level of service that Bradfords is known for.
As one of the key faces of the business, you'll build positive relationships with customers, communicate effectively throughout the delivery process and represent Bradfords professionally wherever you go. Whether you're delivering to a busy building site, a local trade customer or a homeowner, you'll take pride in providing an outstanding customer experience.
This is a varied role that goes beyond driving. You'll support the wider branch team when required, helping to prepare and load orders, assist customers, manage stock and contribute to the smooth running of the branch. You'll also help identify sales opportunities and provide valuable feedback from customers and sites to support the growth of the business.
Safety will always be your priority. You'll ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest standards, complete daily vehicle checks and operate in full compliance with transport legislation, company procedures and health and safety requirements.
We're looking for someone who enjoys being on the road, takes pride in delivering excellent service and understands the important role drivers play in building strong customer relationships.
You'll be a confident communicator with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a busy environment. You'll be flexible, dependable and willing to support different areas of the branch when needed.
A valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC) is required, and while a Full UK Class C (LGV) licence would be advantageous, it isn't essential. We are happy to hear from candidates who have experience driving vans and are looking to take the next step in their career. For the right individual, Bradfords can provide LGV driver training and support you in gaining your Class C licence, helping you develop new skills and progress your career within the business.
For more than 250 years, Bradfords has built its reputation on trust, expertise and exceptional customer service. Our values of Commitment, Care, Consistency and Innovation guide everything we do and help us create a workplace where people can succeed.
In return, you'll join a supportive team, receive ongoing training and development and have the opportunity to build a rewarding career with a business that genuinely values its people.
If you're looking for a role where you can combine driving, customer service and teamwork while making a real difference to our customers every day, we'd love to hear from you.
