Duties
- Safely load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and manual handling techniques.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately for dispatch, ensuring quality control standards are met.
- Stock shelves and storage areas efficiently, maintaining organized and accessible inventory.
- Operate warehouse management systems to track stock levels, update records, and process shipments.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming goods against purchase orders and documentation.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and storage areas to uphold safety standards.
- Support stock replenishment efforts and participate in inventory counts to ensure accurate stock levels.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment or similar setting is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of materials handling equipment such as forklifts (certification is a plus).
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory software.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Mechanical aptitude or knowledge is advantageous for equipment maintenance or troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
