Bolton College is seeking an enthusiastic and industry-experienced Lecturer A to join our Sports & Uniformed Public Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and support learners through high-quality teaching, learning and assessment within Sports and Fitness provision.
We are looking for an individual with current sector knowledge, practical experience and a passion for helping learners achieve their full potential, progress into employment and develop the skills needed for success in the sport and fitness industry.
Ideally, you will:
- Hold a degree or equivalent in a Sports Coaching or Sports Development subject
- Possess a PGCE / Cert Ed. at Level 5 teaching qualification or equivalent or a willingness to work towards.
- Hold GCSE’s in English and maths
- Experience within the sport and leisure industry – Sports Coaching experience preferable.
- Excellent knowledge of sport and education and the factors affecting these.
Day-to-day you will be responsible for:
- Delivering high quality and inclusive teaching and learning on one or more courses.
- Support the curriculum management on curriculum and course development.
- Take part and comply with all quality assurance procedures and systems within the area of responsibility.
- Developing resources, supporting teaching programmes and deliver on a number of courses as required.
- Supporting the achievement of annual targets for learner numbers, income, expenditure and success rates.
- As an individual you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, and will therefore be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
