Established in 1994, Titchfield Group is one of the UK’s largest providers of both Out of Home advertising and commercial property refurbishment services, with offices in both Cuffley and Morecambe.
With over 30 years’ experience in the media, building and commercial sectors, our owners have created, developed and delivered successful campaigns and projects. This covers all stages of the process, from designing artwork, both print and digital, through to printing and posting outdoor advertising, as well as, delivering a range of building support services, through to large scale construction developments.
The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This role goes beyond traditional bookkeeping and includes full responsibility for managing all outgoing and incoming payments, as well as coordinating intercompany transactions across multiple entities.
Duties include:
· Maintain accurate financial records across all entities within the group structure.
· Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
· Reconcile bank, credit card, and intercompany accounts regularly
· Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, this should be automated through our Xero software.
· Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
· Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
· Manage all accounts payable and receivable functions.
· Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
· Monitor cash flow and maintain sufficient liquidity for operations.
· Prepare and execute payment runs either weekly or monthly.
· Manage intercompany billing, invoicing, and reconciliations across multiple businesses.
· Ensure accurate allocation of costs and revenues between entities.
· Process intercompany payments and maintain supporting documentation.
· Resolve discrepancies between intercompany accounts.
· Assist in consolidating financial data where required.
· Prepare financial reports, including cash flow statements and payment summaries.
· Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
· Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
What is expected of you
· Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role.
· Previous experience working on Xero.
· Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
· Experience managing payments and cash flow.
· Familiarity with intercompany accounting across multiple entities
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
· Excellent Excel and data management skills.
· High attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong organisational and time management skills.
· Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
· Proactive and self-motivated.
· Strong problem-solving skills.
· Effective communicator across teams and stakeholders.
· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
