Happy Mobiles is an independent mobile phone retail and repair business established in Lymington, specialising in mobile phone, tablet, and laptop repairs, alongside the sale of mobile phones, accessories, and related products.
As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our operations and opening a new store in Andover. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Mobile & Laptop Technician to join our new team and play a key role in the success of this exciting expansion.
The Role
As a Mobile & Laptop Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mobile devices and laptops while delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair faults on smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
* Carry out screen replacements, battery replacements, charging port repairs, and other hardware repairs.
* Perform software troubleshooting, operating system installations, updates, and data transfers.
* Test devices thoroughly before returning them to customers.
* Provide accurate repair assessments and estimated completion times.
* Maintain detailed records of repairs and customer information.
* Ensure repair work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
* Manage and monitor spare parts inventory.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe repair workspace.
* Deliver excellent customer service and technical support.
Requirements
Essential:
* Previous experience repairing mobile phones and laptops.
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
* Experience working with Apple, Samsung, Google, and other major brands.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
* Experience in board-level repairs/microsoldering.
* Experience in retail sales within the mobile phone industry.
* Relevant technical qualifications or certifications.
