A well-established family business with an opportunity for the role of Vending Machine Route Operator, to re-stock and clean a variety of vending machines on a set route across our existing customer base. The available route will cover Northampton, Kettering, Milton Keynes, Bedford and the M1/A1 area, however flexibility to travel to any customer site is required.
Our business has been built on delivering great customer service and quality, with a desire to ensure our customers are put first. We require a like minded individual to join our team and ensure these standards are maintained across all of our customers sites.
The role:
You will be required to:
- Clean and replenish coffee, snack, fresh food and cold drinks machines, ensuring that the hygiene standards are maintained.
- Ensure that all machines have sufficient stock levels and that all products are continually monitored to avoid products going out of date.
- Collect cash from machines as required and return to the depot as/when agreed.
- To manage route, stock and record any meter readings that are required via a mobile handheld device.
- Monitor stock on the supplied vehicle to ensure correct stock levels are as required to complete all duties, and that all stocked items are managed efficiently avoiding damages and out of date product.
- Able to be the face of the company whilst out on customer sites and deal with any customer service related concerns.
- Have a can-do attitude, flexibility and a willingness to ensure machines remain operational at all times.
- Assist our Service Department by attempting minor fixes (with the help of our supportive team of engineers) at machine level, followed by reporting any major service related issues back to our Service Desk.
- Ensure that the provided vehicle is kept in a safe and road legal condition at all times with any issues, damage or accidents reported to the Route Supervisor immediately.
The role is a permanent position consisting of 40 hours per week with flexibility around working hours available.
Early starts are preferred with overtime regularly available.
Experience is not essential as full training will be provided, but a history of driving and/or cleaning would be desirable.
We offer 28 days of holiday per year (including Bank Holidays) with the opportunity to increase this to 33 days after periods of long service.
