Finance Manager (Part-Time, On Site)

Salary: £20.00–£25.00 per hour (depending on experience)
TRF Restaurants Ltd is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to join our team on a flexible part-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting a successful group of restaurants and wine bars. You'll work closely with the Directors, taking ownership of the finance function while providing valuable commercial insight to help drive the business forward.

What You'll Be Doing
As our Finance Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business, including:
- Preparing accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Reconciling sales and maintaining financial controls
- Managing the purchase ledger and supplier payments
- Completing bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow
- Processing payroll accurately and on time
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Coordinating the year-end accounts process
- Producing budgets, forecasts and financial analysis
- Supporting business planning with commercial and financial advice
- Managing relationships with external accountants, lawyers, insurance brokers, HR advisers and stock takers
- Supervising and supporting a small finance team
- Ensuring compliance with financial policies and statutory requirements
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting skills with a practical, business-focused approach.
Essential
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior finance role within an SME
- Strong management and financial accounting skills
- Experience supervising or mentoring a small team
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Desirable
- Experience using Xero accounting software
- Previous experience within the restaurant, hospitality or leisure sector
