Duties
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and hands-on inspection techniques
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on diverse machinery and equipment
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, assemble, and reassemble components accurately
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed to repair or modify equipment parts
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to ensure a secure work environment
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance schedules for accountability and future reference
Skills
- Strong understanding of schematics, technical diagrams, and mechanical systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes
- Solid mechanical knowledge across various machinery types and components
- Experience with equipment repair, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety standards
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with team members or clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs
- Knowledge of basic electrical systems related to machinery is a plus
