Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Supervise and support children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents and team members
- Assist in organising daily routines and special events within the nursery setting
- Support new staff members through mentoring and guidance to ensure high standards of childcare are maintained
- Drive nursery vehicles when required for outings or transportation purposes
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting
- Strong management and leadership skills to oversee daily nursery operations effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of child development principles and childcare best practices
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating initiative
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or nursery supplies
- Passionate about early childhood education with a caring attitude towards young learners
- Organised, reliable, and able to adapt to the dynamic environment of a nursery setting
Pay: £28,500.00-£32,000.00 per year
