Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient FLT/Bendi Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our warehouse by ensuring that all shipping and receiving tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to handle heavy lifting, and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading items to site safely
- Case & Pallet Picking
- Order Picking & Marshalling
- Maintaining the yard making sure inventory is accurate and products are stored properly
- Quality checking products and reporting any issues
- Operating Counterbalance Forklift on site
- Operating Bendi Forklift on site
- Working in a yard environment - outside most of the day
- Loading/unloading trailers using counterbalance FLT
- Using internal WMS system, laptop and hand scanners
- Taking receipt of pallets from the production lines and accurately scanning in to the warehouse
- Ensure all tasks are carried out to the highest of standards, working in partnership direct with the customer
- Adhering to Warehouse/Plant H&S rules at all time
- Operating a ‘clean as you go’ policy to ensure the warehouse is free of excess debris, pests etc.
- Assisting on the loading bay (as and when required)
- Adhering to Health and Safety rules at all times
- Carrying out any other reasonable request made by Supervisor/Manager
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential.
- 1+ year operating a counterbalance FLT / Reach
- 1+ year operating a Bendi Pivot
- Previous warehouse experience (ideally within the food industry, but not essential)
- Good eye for detail
- Strong communication skills, be a team player
- Be proactive, use initiative
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Work in a fast paced environment, combining all the aspects of warehousing; logistics and customer service.
Hours of work: 09:00 - 18:00
