Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented In-House Solicitor specializing in Business Acquisitions and Due Diligence to join our legal team. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to work closely with our corporate development department, providing expert legal guidance on mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments. As an integral part of our organization, you will ensure all transactions are compliant, well-structured, and aligned with our business objectives. Responsibilities
- Lead legal due diligence processes for potential business acquisitions, including reviewing contracts, financial documents, and regulatory compliance.
- Draft, negotiate, and finalize transaction documents such as purchase agreements, confidentiality agreements, and ancillary contracts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
- Provide clear legal advice on structuring deals to optimize benefits and minimize liabilities for the company.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of target companies’ legal standing, intellectual property rights, employment issues, and regulatory obligations.
- Maintain meticulous records of all transaction documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Support post-acquisition integration efforts by advising on legal considerations related to operational changes or restructuring initiatives.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to clearly articulate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders and negotiate effectively with external parties.
- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to legal research, document management, and transaction workflows.
- Demonstrated experience in corporate law, particularly in mergers and acquisitions or business transactions.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail during due diligence reviews.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing corporate transactions within the industry sector.

Pay: £28,172.64-£84,357.37 per year
