Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Buying & Product Category Executive to join our team and drive the growth of our product offerings. Duties
- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business goals, focusing on profit & loss management to ensure category growth and profitability.
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis using SQL and data mining techniques to identify market trends, customer preferences, and sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns that enhance product visibility and drive sales.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and oversee logistics to ensure timely delivery and optimal inventory levels within the supply chain framework.
- Utilize ERP systems and data visualization tools to monitor category performance, identify process improvements, and implement solutions for operational efficiency.
- Lead product development initiatives by translating business requirements into actionable plans that meet customer needs and enhance product offerings.
- Drive continuous process improvements through project management methodologies, ensuring streamlined workflows across procurement, merchandising, and logistics functions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in product management, category management, or buying roles within a retail or supply chain environment.
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools, and data mining techniques.
- Knowledge of profit & loss principles, logistics operations, and supply chain processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and business requirements documentation to support effective decision-making.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Understanding of merchandising strategies, marketing fundamentals, and product development processes.
- Ability to analyze complex datasets to inform strategic initiatives and process improvements effectively.
