Job Summary

Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-in procedures
- Schedule appointments accurately using office management software, confirming details with patients as needed
- Take part in audits, measures to always be improving patient care and patient flow
- Deal with incoming patient registrations, prescription requests
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and update records to ensure data accuracy
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly, directing inquiries to appropriate staff members or departments
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, faxes, and mail
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area to ensure a professional appearance
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and preparing patient documentation
- Booking patients for QOF and any checks that they are due
- Involvement in carrying out hospital referrals, Advice and Guidance requests; Chase ups of clinical letters and appointments
- Opportunities for further development depending on Practice and individual requirements
- Skills
- Prior office experience demonstrating strong organizational abilities and multitasking skills
- Administrative experience in a healthcare or medical setting is highly preferred
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and external providers
- Proficiency in office software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent programs
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple responsibilities
- Attention to detail for accurate record keeping and data entry
- Friendly demeanor with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Prior experience of Emis Web, Docman is desirable but not mandatory
