About Us
Haringtons Boutique Hotel and Dream Stays Apartments is a collection of 13 stylish bedrooms and 16 serviced apartments in the heart of Bath. We pride ourselves on our characterful properties, high service standards, and creating memorable stays for our guests. We are now looking for a committed and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team.
The Role
This is not simply a handyman position – we are seeking a professional who will take genuine pride in the upkeep of our hotel and apartments. You will play a vital role in ensuring our properties are safe, well-presented, and maintained to the highest standard, while also supporting the wider team when urgent issues arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to maintenance reports in both the hotel and apartments, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair tasks.
- Carry out painting, decorating, and finishing work to maintain presentation standards across all properties.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they impact the guest experience.
- Conduct regular checks of facilities, equipment, and guest areas to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain the hot tub and outdoor areas in line with health and safety standards.
- Support the team with urgent call-outs or technical queries when on site.
- Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Uphold the hotel’s reputation by ensuring all work is carried out with professionalism, efficiency, and minimal disruption to guests.
About You
- Proven experience in maintenance, ideally within hotels, serviced accommodation, or residential property.
- Skilled across a broad range of trades, with the ability to diagnose and repair issues efficiently.
- Strong painting and decorating ability, with an eye for detail.
- Reliable, proactive, and able to manage your own workload.
- A true team player who understands that well-maintained properties directly impact guest satisfaction.
- Flexible approach, with the ability to prioritise urgent issues.
