Role Overview
To transport and deliver product from BSL to the client safely and within the agreed time frame.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to government guidelines regarding working time and driver regulations
- Be responsible for maintaining own CPC training
- Complete and sign paperwork as necessary
- Ensure Health and Safety, driving quality standards and procedures are adhered to
- Ensure vehicle defect checks are carried out daily
- Inform the Workshop Manager and Transport Manager of any vehicle issues immediately
- Supervise the loading and unloading of product at customer and BSL sites
- Always follow traffic laws
- Maintain a professional image and provide excellent customer service at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of the driving cab at all times
- Report any accidents immediately in line with company policy
- Provide support in the yard as required by the Transport Director
Working Pattern
- Work is generally scheduled Monday to Friday
- Drivers may be required to complete 1–3 nights out per week, depending on workload and operational requirements
Salary
Salary includes meal allowance and nights out.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Flexible and self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills with a good level of written and spoken English
- Well organised and able to meet delivery deadlines
- Ability to promote and maintain high levels of Health & Safety standards on site and on the road
- Excellent time management skills
- Relevant driving qualifications
- Hold a clean UK Driving Licence
- Minimum of 2 years HGV driving experience
